Buddy of mine is rebuilding his Toyota. Going to go with a rear four link.
?is top and bottom link bars. Will they work if they r the same length ?

You will prob get pinion angle movement if it travels a lot. If he's limiting the up and down travel it will be ok. Rule of thumb for it to work right is uppers 70% of lowers.

If the links are equal length and the seperation at frame and axle are the same then the pinion angle will stay the same throughout suspension travel. This is where the 70% rule comes in, frame seperation is normally less than axle seperation. I would use the link calculator to get it where you want and then build it as close as you can to that, maybe build some adjustment into the uppers. Cycle it, wheel it, adjust uppers as needed.

Re: Re: 4 link info

Triangulate lowers

Straight or slightly triangulate uppers

Make sure there is plenty of separation at the axle end, 8-10"

4-7 separation at the frame

(according to ride height and tire size)

Equal length links will work fine.
