A guy is tryin to sell me his slightly used (He said has never been) 4" pro comp leaf springs for my first gen yota... With drag link. Anyone know of a fair price for such an item?

*We did not talk price at all, just exchanged numbers :awesomework:

Thanks, Scott

I say $200-250... But I have never seen them, either. SA lifts (especially from companies like Pro Comp) are cheap. Someone I know has them and does not like them. Too stiff, and not much flex. A lift is all you get!

I dont know about procraps toyota springs, but the 6inch chevy 3/4 springs suck.... I broke a leaf pack in half about a hour after I put them on..

I would say trail gear springs, got alot off buddy running them and have heard nothing but good things about them.

I had a set of their 2.5 lift springs on the back of my cj5 and they were great springs. stiff enough for the lift but still very flexy. They also came with double wraped eyes which helps keep them from bending near the eyes.

PRO COMP= NO FLEX!!!!!

if you want good springs run 3" superlifts springs front and then get either marlin import springs or the TG rear springs.

yea uh hou:rolleyes: this is with procomps on the rear:cheer:
The last set of superlifts on the jeep bent the first time out at evans creek. Crappy design with a single main leaf.

exactly! no lift:fawkdancesmiley: :haha: but seriously, jthompson is talking about my dad have 4" PC springs and hates them, go with anything but those. he might need to take out a leaf to soften them up of something but for right now as a "stock" set they're garbage.:looser: there are plenty of other options out there for lift and flex, i ended up with B2 lift springs in the rear of my truck and they're awesome:awesomework:

Is this a set of 4 were talking here?...

offer him 200 bucks and see what happens.

Make sure you go buy yourself some longer brake lines too...

So I have decided with putting all your guys' input together that Trail gear front springs and the marlin import rear is the way I am headed...

Any objections to marlin>?

Well they are new at 4 wheel parts for aroun 119 to 139 a pair. so slightly used means he wants a slight bit knocked off the new price i guess! i would offer 80 if they had good polyurethane. Look at the bushing to see how much wear THEY have. then look at the arc of the spring. if the poly is thin on the outers then you could say they have been flexed alot but nothing more than broken in if the arc is still good! Thay are good soft springs though!!
