400 turbo out shaft length ?????????

i need to know what the out put shaft leangth is on a 400 turbo with a 208 behind it

can any one tell me clocking a late module 205 round patter is all a person has to do is re drill the holes

I think its He man fab that makes a clockable adaptor that you just clock it to where you want and weld it solid

buddie of mine mesured a 400 turbo with 205 early style it was 3 1/2 late style 400 turbo and 205 uses long female input it was 2 1/2 so the 205 late and 208 look like there with in 1/4 inch each other

The 2 1/4 and 2 1/2 are prob the same. Seems like it's actually supposed to be 2 3/8". There's one about an inch shorter than that and a longer one that was used in 2wd trans and maybe some others. The intermediate one can usually be cut off to the shorter length if needed. The one I measured was from a 400/208 combo out of a cucv. I will have to cut it off to fit it to an atlas which uses the shortest version.

thanks man that ancered my question looks like to me if a man has a 400turbo with 208 maby just maby unblot the 208 then use the late style adapter and 205 with the 6 bolt going to the trans case and wham bam 205 ready to rock my 400 is 2 1/2 from flang oh ya i think the one you are talking a bout thats 1 inch shorter is 400 turbo 203 i know its around 1 1/2 cause thats what i mesured before my buddie built a doubler i was like ?????? on the 400 208 thanks again

400/203 had a 1 1/2" stick out, 400/208 had 2 1/2" stick out, 400/205 round adapter 4 1/2" old style ( can use a 2wd trans and remove tail housing if needed same stick out), 400/205 figure 8 2/ 1/4" stick 1985 and up

the trans i bought is from a 87 crew cab guy told me it was around 2 1/2 thanks for in input on all the 400s that was killer
