4l60E question?

I have someone interested in my 4l60e tranny but he has the 4.7 v8 and not the 5.3 can he use the tranny from behind the 5.3?

You mean the 4.8L??? If so, yes you can use the trans...

well the buyer told me 4.7 but I suspect you are correct... any computer programing issues?

I wouldn't think so...the two powertrains are virtually identical, with the exception of the engine displacement and it's PCM tune....

what is the year difference? if there is none there might be a difference in converters but as long as the trans/conv combo stays together should be fine. look at the front (front like front of the car) of the converter and there should be a 4 letter code like "tmbx", if those match even better
