so today Brad and I put the cage in the Runner...

Turned out pretty good. Not PERFECT, but turns out I wasn't building a ****ing piano...

ya looks good for a pre-bent kit :awesomework: it looks like you welded the bolt to the flat plate as you were welding the tubing to the plate :looser: you should try to connect the cage to the frame

Those bolts were a little close to the tube, so they got welded.
All the plates are on body mount points, so that helps. It may get tied to the frame later, but it isn't super high on my list of things to do right now.

All you need to know about the chrome is BLING* BLING*


I was really looking for a silver/gray. I specifically asked the guy at the hardward store... is this silver / gray like the cap, or is it fake chrome... he said it matched the cap. Turns out he was wrong, and I wasn't making another trip to town.. so it got painted chrome.

I'm thinking about getting that cage. Did it go together easy, did you have to fab any thing and the the top fit back on?

Went together pretty easy. Would be easier a 2nd time now that we have done it once. Top is back on w/ no mods. My cage is a little off square to the pass side... no biggie. It touches the hardtop on the pass side, and is a 1/2" or so away on the driver side... top still bolts on.... **** it... good enough for the girls I go with.
