5.3 header question

99-03 5.3, ok, the tube that runs out from the exhaust manifold and up into the intake, will a set of headers have this? Is it a requirement for the engine to run properly?

It has a stand-alone harness flashed to delete a bunch of unnecessary things, I should pull it out of the box and try and see if it has a plug for that sensor.

You don't want/need EGR do ya?

I bet if you got the "50 state legal smog headers" then it would have that.

I'm just a dumb farm boy that knows about carb'd BBF and the Ford 2300, all this EFI biz has me tore up. Does it have to have it? If not, that junk is gone!

Nope, doesnt' need it at all.

With any tuning software you can turn all that EGR business off.

i found a freeze plug to fit the hole in the intake..
