I am doing a 5.3 swap in my jeep, the flywheel is no flat, so the converter will not fit into the centering hole. Is there a special flywheel or converter I need?

You can buy a special flywheel or a spacer. I know you can get hem from GM and Summit.

flywheel spacer ring GM Part #12563532 and a longer bolt set GM Part #12563533 is required when using a thin flange crankshaft to replace a thick flange crankshaft.

Found that bitch.

I used the one from Summit. Just drives into the back of the crank. The one from GM you have to take the bolts out and install with the new bolts. You will also have to slot the holes alittle in the flexplate. Either one is simple and will get you going.

Not sure all of them have to be slotted. I did one this summer that didn't have to be. Just check it before hand. ;D

We sell the same part that we have made locally. Started doing alot of these swaps so we just had them made. Let me know if your interested in one. I think we are getting $35 shipped. Later
