Am having some motor issues I just cant figure out and am getting a bit frustrated. I have one suggestion form onebadjp on here that I have not tried yet but am ordering the part today to see if it fixes anything. He sugest a new adapter plate for the TBI.

First let me start with the basics - set up is a 5.7 vortec motor with TBI. The computer has not been flashed so there is one issue with fuel delivery - the temp sensor on the drivers side of the block has to be unpluged in order for the correct fuel delivery - basically fools the motor into thinking it is cold and goes into closed loop.

A few months ago the motor started idling high once it was warm - acting just like a vacuum leak. I have sprayed ether all over the damn thing and cannot find any leaks what so ever. It will idle up to about 1500rpm and will occasionally start missing and dumping a large amount of fuel into system causing black smoke then back to high idle. Once the motor is cooled down below operating temp it will idle normally.

I know that is a hard read but any suggestions

Thanks

Yeah I know :flipoff1:

No **** I have may just do that - that mast motorsports that woodlee sports is what I want.

Had that problem on a 1995 TBI. It was the cold start sensor right on the front of the engine beside the water neck.35.00 and all was good.Hope it helps.
