I bought a 59 CJ5 back in March and am starting to get going on it. I will get some pics up soon. I am currently working on the axles with a lot of help from zukev. The Drive Train is a F.I. 350/Turbo 350/Dana 20 with Waggy 44's. We are putting 427 gears with zip lockers front and rear. As I have gathered a lot of parts over the past several months, it is time to start putting them all together.

I am ready to start putting the dash together and here is a picture of what is going in.

I'll start posting some more pics soon.

Nice Don!!! Gotta get some pics of 'before the resurrection' & build....:awesomework: I like the color---looks better than in the can!:haha:

that is a nice looking blue, otta look nice when its all together:D

You got that right!!!
You should really post up a couple pics of it Don, give an idea of what it currently loks like (which isn't bad on the exterior side of things), but the PO left out/hid a few details...things like the missing RF axleshaft, the 'lockrites', and such...It will definitely be a different beast when we're done with it!!!:awesomework:

Kevin is right, I bought this jeep down near the oregon border and by the time I got down there, it was real late, real dark and I didn't get a chance to crawl under and over it. I was told it had lockrites, but they were lincoln lockers. One front axle was missing, wiring was a nightmare and it had no brakes. I just bought it and drug it home. I ended up with a plan that involved a lot more than I had planned.

I have pretty much gutted the inside, I have put in a GM tilt column and have all of the column switches hooked up and working. I am going to need to find someone to help with some sheet metal work inside because I have cut up the wheel wells to move the seats back.

I have installed a York 210 compressor for my air system and boy does it work great! I have a small air tank and it goes from completely empty to 120 psi in 50 seconds at idle.

These wheels will be for sale soon. When we get the new axles under it, I have to switch to 6 lug.
