Well I just got a 6.0 not sure what kind it even is. It came out of a 2001 Chevy 2500? Can a 350 turbo bolt up to it? Do I really need a different oil pan? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

You have a LQ4 and it will bolt up to a TH350. The LS1 oil pan is used a lot because it is much shorter than the truck pan but the stock pan is just fine if you have room for it.

Thanks for the info. I was under the impression I had to change the pan because of oil starvation on hills? Have you h eard of that?

The truck pan is great if you can fit it in your rig. Most times it hanges too low and is vulnerable to rocks. Pacific fab makes a really nice pan with baffling.

I had a truck pan in mine for one trip and a rock snook in and got it, has to go to a car pan and redo my skid

That's the car pans that starve oil. The truck pans are narrow and deep just like an old style sheet metal pan.
