700R4 with LH drop tcase?

Anyone ever run one with say a Jeep or Ford NP208? (I have the 27 spline input from a Chev NP208) Trying to find out if it's doable without hitting the trans pan.
If that won't work, how about a 727 with Dana 20 LH drop? (thinking about
my other new toy and making it 4wd)

LH drop is perfect for a 700r4. If you look at a 700r4 from the top you can see that the case is forged with teh pan offset to the passengerside. The 700r4/4l60 are in all Chevy/GMC 1/2 ton 4x4's since they went to IFS in 88 and they are all LH drop. Adapters should be cheap unless you get a package 700/NP241 and be set. I'm puttin a 700 in my new rig with RH drop and it's a real PITA cos I clocked teh 300 case and have to run a 2 piece front shaft to clear the pan.

I wish I didn't already have the front 60 set up or I would consider swapping to LH drop.
