i know its not 4x4 related. i need a vacuum diagram for a cowl induction flap. i went to a couple online sources but they want you to subscribe to them and this car is almost done and don't know i will need there resources after this hood is fixed. i hooked the vacuum hose to the manifold port on the intake.it open correctly in first gear but each of the next gears as speed builds up it opens less and slower. engine vacuum is not dropping as much. because of less strain on the engine.

Sorry no luck here....my chevelle manual went missing....still have my 72 Fisher Body manual though. If you need any info out of that let me know..

Sexy 72 BTW - same car (except for the a/c and c.i.hood) I had in HS....

For Sale?

Don't know anything regarding the vacum related topic, just wanted to bump for an AWESOME ride. Is that part of your corral? Noice... :dblthumb:

not for sale, just one i restored for a customer. he happy with everything except how the hood works. i coming to the conclusion that its suppose to be routed to the carb but the carb i put on it only has vacuum port for brake booster?

You can either use a Y adaptor on the port on the carb or drill and tap a port on the rear of the intake. I have done this for power brakes on my old Bronco with an Edelbrock aluminum intake that had a large camshaft with very little vacum. I also used a vacum canister can to help hold the vacum due to the camshaft. Just my .02.
