'79 vs. '90

Will a 1990 Toyota single cab shell bolt right onto a 1979 Toyota single cab Frame? Basically I need a new cab but would like to update to a newer year cab for my '79 Frame. Anyone ever done this? If so what is required to do it?

As much as I can tell it shoiuld just bolt right up to the stock body mounts.

I would wager that they are different. Just plop the body on it and make/modify the mounts. I had to change the core support mounts when i put a 85 cab on a 83 frame, It was a extra cab so i had to change the rear mounts as well.

Yeah I figured I would have to modify new mounts, but i just redid all my mounts for the '79 cab and was hoping it would fit so I wouldn't have to cut them back off and redo them. But I guess that is the part of fabrication.

as far as i know you are going to have to move your rear mount for the cab and possibly the front core support mounts might need to be wider.
