I'm working on an 85 Chevy 4 wheel drive pickup. Not too familiar on identifying these differentials. I'm not finding a tag on either of them. Is there another way of identifying these?

The door sticker is gone. The side badges are Silverado "10" so it must be a C/K 10 unless the badges are wrong.

Looking at the suspension, I would say it's a 1/2 ton as well with some very heavy overloads.

Back has 10 bolts on the cover, if that tells anybody anything.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that. I'm just wondering how he was able to tell.

Doing a little reading, I'm starting to think both of these are the corporate 10 bolts. What are the thoughts on these? Hang on to them? Scrap them?

Thats because thats what was used on those trucks :redneck:

The front is simular to a dana 44 except the center. They are not worth much except in the repair side of things.

half ton chevy axles... probably worth more for their weight in scrap than they'd be if you tried to sell them.

Alright, good info. The rear is welded anyhow, and the front has a broken axle. So I'll probably just haul them off with the rest of the pickup.

They are both probably GM 10 bolt axles, very weak, probably 28 splines at the diff, 19 spline stub shafts, 3.54 ratio?

I'm not sure what the ratios are. Basically I'm pulling the lift, shocks, engine/trans, and possibly the suspension out of it and scrapping the rest.
