First post from the new account(forgot old login) so try not to laugh me outta the room quite yet :D

Was hoping some of you local guys have completed this swap and could lend some advice, mine is almost done with the exception of the DAMN wiring! Bare with me I am by no means 12v wiring savvy

I have read all of the write ups on the interweb and my pickup harness has some discrepancies between what others have for colors @ the pickup ecu plugs....getting a wiring diagram from a buddy tomorrow.

NOW for my question, I believe everything is wired correctly, it turns over, gets fuel(fuel line disconnected to confirm), lights etc work BUT the damn thing turns over painfully slow and doesn't fire! I tried a brand new battery, a battery from my cummins and a battery from a buddy's ford. Why would it turn over so slow??

Any Ideas??

Thanks for the idea! Currently I have....Battery to chassis, block to chassis, harness to block ground and all factory harness grounds connected in kick panel to body.

Should I go above an beyond and possibly ground kick panel wiring directly to chassis?

Have you checked for voltage drops across the positive and then across the negative circuit? Seems to me you have ample ground potential...Just need to check for voltage drops. Take the positive lead of a DVOM and touch the B+ connection at the starter, take the negative lead and touch the B+ post on the battery--have some one crank it, the voltage read will be the emt of drop you have across the B+ circuit...Do the same for the negative---touch one lead to the block, then the other to the B- terminal, and crank...voltage read will be amt of drop across that circuit. Is it possible you simply have a bad starter? (presuming the swap motor was used and came with a starter)...
