i have a sbc and a tpi setup out of a 86 camaro any tips on trimming the harness and fuel pump options? the motor has about 550 hp? thanks for any info.

If you got a real 550 hp motor you may want to look at the TPI runner size. In stock trim they run out of air at 4500 rpm or so. You need a big pump for that kind of HP. A stock pump was just barely enough for the 300 or 350 hp they made from the factory

If you got 550 Horse then you want to stay away from the factory tpi stuff. the runners are to small as well as the Throttle Body. You could maybe piece something together using the stock harness and ecm with an after market intake, Injectors, and fuel rails. But you will still flashing chips in the 7730 ECM to make it run right.

Don't know much about Propane other than it likes higher compression ratios 10:1 ~ 13:1 I think but don't know for sure.

thanks rockbuggy) maybe i need to try to find something with a little less hp after pricing some after market tpi setups . does anyone know of a good site to find the wiring diagram so i can cut out unnecessary wires?

I can send you some diagrams for the harness. What is the code on the ECM is the last 4 digits 7730?

How much of the harness do you have?

Is the fuel pump relay in the harness?

Are you going to run a stock setup or run a custom chip?

i have the complete harness from the gauge cluster out. im not sure on the ecm but i will check in the morning. and the chip prob run custom chip.
