Need to know where a relay is located for the opreation of power windows and power door locks, also any link or copy of elec. window/locks diagram. Fuse location for power to relay also.

Truck or 4 runner bruce? (I also still have to reply to your email)

Funny,

It seems I have the same problem, well close. I have power to the switch harness, but the switch harness "hole" is partially melted and I cannot get the windows to move down or more importantly for my driverside window, up!

Time to apply power to the motor directly, but they may be toast.

Edit: I found this tidbit here: http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/index.shtml#PowerWindows

On later model trucks, there is a full relay control box from the power windows, unlike the switch-only setup on my '85. If so, the relay module will be located in one of two places. It'll either be inside the driver's side window, near the switches, or under the dash near the e-brake handle.

The relay i believe is under the dash right above the hood realease or in that general location.Mine is a blue box thats 4"x2" but mines an 89 so i think they are different. Also the whole thing is a circuit so everything must be connected for it to work. The "window switch" as its called in the scematics is the power window control module on the drivers side. Also check the fuse on the fuse panel on the drivers side.
