I am about done with building my front bumper on the heep, and i was thinking about welding the whole thing to the frame here is the finished pic...
IMG_3118.jpg

now if i weld it to the frame
1, should i weld a doubler on the frame first, and then weld the bumper to the doublers?
2, by using this bumper will it strengthen the frame or should i try cutting that round peice at the front that ties the frame together and replace it with a six inch by 1/4 inch square tubing and just bolt the bumper on instead of welding it?? any help in this will be greatly appriciated basically i want it tough so i can beat the crap out of it ..... Welding a doubler to the frame will make it stronger, but it isn't nessecary. Unless you are using that stinger a-lot, simply bolting it to the frame would suffice. Welding would be stronger, plating the frame and welding to that would be overkill.

Depends on your mentality. IMHO, overkill is the only way to go. Stronger is better, unless you are trying to save weight to comptete.

The bumper itself will add enough strenghth, don't mess with the factory tie in piece.
