93 heep

a friend of mine has a 93 jeep grand cherokee, v8, auto tranny, 4x4. the past 3 days the engine wont drop below 2000 rpms, any ideas on what would do this?

tps = throttle position sensor

could be that but most likely a vacuum leak though

Had a guy with this problem in a ford p/u and it was deposits in the intake at the butterfly, Because of the gunk wouldnt let the butterfly close all the way and the computer read it is the throttle was being pushed. Cleaned out the gunk and all was ok.

nwgrand had something like this on his. i think it was a "new" fuel rail from a junkyard which cured it.
injectors gone bad?
