Still no sign of my runner but iam looking at a 94 runner with i think a 6" lift (4wheel parts installed) and 35's. 196000ish miles 3.0 and a 5 speed. little body damage on the front and rear quarter's. he was asking 5 for it but now he just wants to get rid of it and is now asking for 3500. is this to much need help to new for to know prices.

with almost 200,000 miles on it that 3.0 is about ready to die. If you buy one with the 3.0 V6 be ready to put a new engine in it at some point. 3.0 = POS

That style 4runner with the 3.slow motor is reallly soft right now, If you really like it kick him in the nuts at about $2500.00 as that will leave you some money for another motor when that one shits the bed.

Definitely agree with the 3 posts above me. Unless it's been rebuilt or replaced at some point in those 200k, expect to do AT LEAST head gaskets, if not a valve job or complete rebuild on that motor some time in the near future.

If it was a 4 cylinder, it'd be worth the $3500 he's asking... since those motors have more longevity than the 3.0, get better gas mileage, and have about the same power output. They are also cheaper/simpler to work on and/or replace if need-be... but a 3.0 with 200k... maybe some might pay that much, but I certainly wouldn't, having experienced first-hand the "fantasticness" that is the 3.0.

My girlfriend has a '90 that is in MINT condtion, has an alarm, a great stereo system (or could be, with a little upkeep  , and no body/interior damage hardly at all, with just over 200k, and a 3.slow. We bought it for $4200 a couple of years ago, and have put on some miles since then. I think she/her dad are having a bit of a time selling it for around $4000. Now that I know more about what I want in a 4runner (removeable top, 22RE, etc..) I wouldn't pay more than $3000 for it.

I have to agree with these guys. Especially if that motor has been pushing around those 35"s for a while.
If you really want a V6 4Runner, look for a 1996 or newer. Toyota got their act together and put a 3.4L V6 in a lot of their rigs. Much better engine than the 3.0L.

see i had a 84 that i rebuilt the 22r, bored it out and put a cam and a weber, just put new 3" leafs and shackels, and brand new 33" trxus mt's but that got stolen 2 weeks ago it was/is what i want but i drive by this runner and see it everyday so i thought i would ask questions before i dive into it. i really want a first gen again 84 or 85 maybe later and do a sas on it.
