From what I understand this is the day to tie ribbons onto trees laying out wanted trail corridoors. Didn't the DNR hire people to do this? What's their involvment? Seems to me we need their input on this.....

Aren't those guys called surveyors? :eeek:

Maybe they are working on the Non-Motorized Trails?

I would rather see the major input for our trails come from people who will use the trails such as your self Rick....

I'm not disagreeing, just wondering what's going on. I see potential for a bunch of volunteers to spend time flagging trails only for the real trail planners to change it all.

so are they going to let every tom **** and harry mark trails.
I can't see this going very well if 200 rednecks show up and want to give their input.

Yes.

It's input, we need it.

And what is it with you and rednecks?:sommer:

If your underlying questions is "Will my time be wasted?" The answer is no.

It seems the DNR wants input from every level, from everyone.

I look at it as; we're getting our voice back.:;

I have some good ideas for layout and DNR seems to like the concept and density. I am trying to get it in a format that I won

I'll be there with a steering wheel taped to the center of a 5' 10" stick running through the woods making engine noises. My co-pilot will be the GPS reader, and ribbon boy.:redneck:
