I have my dads jeep to tear appart. It is a '79 cj-7. I have a fuel injected 5.2 liter dodge engine that i am going to be puttin a t 18 behind. I need to know here i can find an adapter for it. Any help on this would be great.:redneck:

your a dipshit :D:beer:

Find a Np435 that origionally came behind a 318. T18 brings the suck :haha:

Screw the aftermarket. Get an NP435 out of an 80's dodge 4x4 and it will bolt to your motor and should have a 23 spline output and round pattern adapter that should bolt right up to a dana 300 with probably nothing more than a clocking ring.

I already wanted to do this because of the lower first gear ratio. the problem is, he aready has a lot of money wrapped up in the brand new t18 sittin on his garage floor. i will probably end up goin this route any ways. just wanted to see if i had any options before i told him to sell his new trwnny wnd spend another $500 on a transfer to tranny adapter.:fawkdancesmiley:

JB Conversions or Novak maybe.
Thanks but they got nothin either. Startin to think that maybe this combo just wasn't meant to be.:redneck:

Tried, talked to them for over an hour. they just dont make anything for the dodge motor anymore. And they no longer produce a scatter shield housing either. thanks for tryin though.

Maybe not production, but they at least used to custom build stuff. My cousin called them and asked for an adapter to put a 460 in a Vanagon just to **** with them. The guy said they could make something, but was more interested in why anyone would want to put the heaviest motor ford ever made in a VW Van.
