Crash, TrailToy1993 & I camped at the entrance to the Wall Trail Saturday night. Then we all dragged our butts out of bed at a late time Sunday. As we were sitting in Crash's camper BSin NotMatt & then TB-F show up. So after we say we needed to get going if we were going to go wheelin we finally got moving. So we headed down to the staging area where all the bikes are at.

Mike too the lead and headed down the Rock Garden. I hit the first obstacle and was not having much luck. Aired down to 5psi and attacked it again. Made it thru and hit the next set of rocks. Well we got up to almost the end and there is a spot we all had to try. TB-F was the only one to make it thru. When I headed back to my Jeep to follow everyone it wouldn't start. Mike came back and we started trying to figure out what the heck was going on. Came down to there was something wrong with the fuel. Pushed in on the schrader valve and there was a lot of air in the system. So we decided it must be the fuel pump.

Well it was maybe 300 yards to the end of the trail. NotMatt came back and started yanking me down the trail. At the spots that he couldn't pull me thru I used my winch. It took us about an hour to get the rig onto the road. NotMAtt then took me back up to my truck and I drove down and hooked onto the Jeep.

Went into the Jeep stealership on Monday and was just going to go ahead and buy a new fuel pump. Well they wanted $450 for a new one and would have to order it. So I walked out with a no thanks as I headed to the door. Got on good old Ebay and found a brand new one for $165.

So the Jeep will be fixed this weekend.
Sorry I didn't get any pictures but Mike did so hopefully he will post them up.

Sounds like a blast! I know what its like to be stuck on trails with a semi dead vehicle, as Im sure most of us do, haha. Good to hear that you figured it out, or so you think, lol. I would check the relay too, more than once Ive had bad relays and not bad pumps on customer cars. Its always funny when a car gets towed into the shop and we either tap on the tank and get it running (replace pump), or pull the relay and tap it on the ground a couple times and get it running (replace relay). Takes all of about 5 minutes, we order part, install part, send car on its way :;

Well I got out into the garage today and installed about $2000 worth of parts.
I did the VP-44 injection pump on my CTD first and while I had everything apart also the fan clutch because I had been having cooling issues.

Then I replaced the fuel injection pump in the Jeep. And while I was under the Jeep I looked at the damage I did last weekend.

Sure am glad I have the engine/tranny skid because the oil pan & tranny pan wouldn't have made it.
