Where is a good place around monroe or vicinity to have my Air Conditioning recharged in my Vee Dub? After having to sit in the heat for just an hour just to get across the pond on friday, made me want the coolness:cool: .

HEY...when your skin tone rivals that of an albino, and live in an environment that never sees sunlight, you too would think it's hot:fawkdancesmiley: :fawkdancesmiley: :fawkdancesmiley:

so someone of my intelligence level could do this then??? I guess if they sell it at schmucks they figure a funkin' munkey can figure it out.

Depends on the condition of the unit. If it's sat open or has been discharged for a long time you should replace the dryer. Shouldn't need to add any oil. If it's an R12 system you "should" replace the hoses and all seals with "134a compatible" stuff, but I didn't in my Celica and didn't have any issues other than it didn't cool as well. That's due to the different refrigerant than what it was designed for though.

if you have R12 buy the conversion kit from schmucks then use the R134 refills from then on like 30 bucks DIY
