I know this a dumb question but how are these measured? See attached picture

I thought they where 14s but they only have 12 showing when off the rig then they measure like you see taken apart.

Thanks

~2" stroke negative spring holds them back if you dont have pressure in them takes some force to get them fully extended

Okay that would make since with the 14 then. Does anyone know where to find a chart for oil amount on these?

You can get max oil pretty easy, just fully compress the shock and add oil till it won't take any more.

Pretty good starting point for tuning air shocks too, since that will give you max spring ramp rate, and minimum pressure to achieve ride height.

How do they ride like this?

Pretty stiff. The spring rate ramps so fast that it kinda has a sway bar effect. Going slow works pretty decent.

I would be careful about adding too much oil. You will get too much spring rate and you'll never collapse the shock all the way.

Here is a link to the oil volumes: Fox 2.0 AIr Shock Oil Volume

You don't happen to know max do you?

I don't know the max, but it's less than full ;D
