i know you can thread a smooth bodied emulsion 2.0 shock to upgrade it to a coilover...is it possible to thread an air shock body and run less air in it and add a coil spring to it? or will it make a wacky weird shock cuz of the valving?

Just a guess but I would think the valving would be screwed up because of the massive shaft size of the air shock as compared to a normal shock.

i got a bunch of air shox between my two rigs and a spare to boot, i was just kickin the idea around or if its even tangable

I do know a couple people have successfully shortened air shocks to make air bumps out of them ...

I think ballistic makes a hybrid air shock/coilover; perhaps you could check into those and see if anyone uses them.

i will kick it around alittle more and post up if i come up with anything, i have a spare to experiment with to see if it works

We do not make an air/coilover, The internals are most likely different on a hybrid shock tan a normal air or coil over shock. You would be better off selling your shocks, and buying new ones.
