Saturday February 17th, 2007 we meet up at the Slab around 11 AM. We counted 20 rigs but may have missed a few since we had this big play ground and were spread out.

First stop was Flex Canyon.

Insanityfab did a trial fix to get the rig rolling. Built-not-bot lower the rig down the hill with his winch. Winchs from Bigtoyota4me, Psychotoy and Jerry FY helped too.

With the help of so many people we got the rig down the hill and onto my trailer. Thanks for all your help.

Thanks to all that came out. This was a great time.

where abouts is that at? been looking for a good road trip to take with a few buddies for a fullsize wheelin trip!!!

is that out towards Tampico or Ahtanum? i'm from Yak, but it's hard to tell exactly where that is. could even be out by Wenas/Selah area?

I really dont care where the hell it is we got 2 trailers and a 5th wheel along with a car trailer for this trip i showed the pics to my buddies and they want to go BAD!!! So please let me know the location!!!

location: take I-90 toward Ellensburg, right at I-82 (or Hwy 97 which is a nicer drive along the river canyon). Follow map below. this area is approx 30 minutes south of Yakima.

It's where archer1965 posted. It was t-shirt weather there Saturday but Sunday was very cold.

If you go to the Slab to wheel, make sure you wheel on the east side of the canal. The west side is not part of the area and the owner will call out the Sheriff. It is not posted but the Sheriff said he will right tickets if he is called out there.

thanks for the heads up is there nething else to look out for while there? We are taking a 77 f250 on 36's a 92f250 on 44's a 2 79 chevy on 38's 1 tracker on 29's and possibly 3 yotas and 33's. The chevys and 77 ford and the tracker are the only locked up ones... will this be a problem. Ne specific tools are things to have on rig to really be capable out there? money is no issue here we are building fullsize oldskools and trying to work the bugs out

I got a ticket from two deputies on dirt-bikes in full riding gear once. Of course we were parked on top of Rest Haven, shooting a .22, drinkin beer, and smokin dope :redneck:

"Is there a problem, officer?"

This area fun but isn't that big. You can get a two wheel drive around the whole place if you stay on top of the ridges.

Here are some more pics of the area:

Make sure you park your tow rigs at the parking area were the concrete slab is and not a long the canal. I couldn't get my two wheel drive to the parking area one time last year because of the mud so I parked in an open are long the canal. My son blew his spiders so he loaded his rig on my trailer and rode back up to the Slab with a friend. Later I went to my tow rig and found that someone got up on my trailer and had broke my son's driver's window and stole his POS stereo.
