I think I already posted something on this but has anyone heard anything BAD about the allpro toyota long slip? I know trail queer is garbage, and i just called to check my order on martin crawler and they are out of stock and have no idea when/where they are:rolleyes:

Allpro has theirs on sale, 8" slip, does anyone know if they're any good, and if they DON'T weld the caps in...?

Another option

Check out Fleetpride. They are a heavy equipment parts warehouse and the one in Tacoma stocks some trick long slip stuff. These long slips are about 1/2 the cost of Allpro, Marlin, and other driveline shops. A lot of my buddies run them with high horse/torque V-8's in their fronts, and some in the rear with NO problems. I'm sure the other Fleetpride stores carry the slips, but the one in Tacoma actually will build them to your specs. NO DRIVELINES NW...they suck and I've grenaded all their stuff. Hope this helps save a buck and stands up to your needs.

There is nothing wrong with trail queers long slip driveline section. The seem to hold up good. I hate trail queer but i would and will run one.

Nothing wrong with it unless you like soft material machined too large so you have to weld the caps in place.. yea, I like stuff like that too. :flipoff:

Aaron, I just looked at the website. Im now 100% sure I read that its the same one Marlin sells. Order it up and get that ish going bro! Call and make sure theyre in stock first though, haha

I was speaking to a previous conversation that Aaron and I had, referring to the fact that the one All Pro sells is the exact same as what Marlin Crawler sells. I had already told him the Trail Gear one was poopy in my opinion.

EDIT: BTW, neither Marlin or All Pro weld the caps in. The kit comes in a box and you have to assemble it. I can personally tell you the u-joints fit snug inside the ears just like any stock joint Ive replaced.

Hey, white trashy is the king of those buy&bolt together toy junk, why even question?:fawkdancesmiley: :haha: :haha:

I habe had a trail gear one for quite a while and never had any issues with it. The new ones don't have welded in u-joints. Mine has welded in joints and it has never been a problem.

The Marlin and Allpro style slips will bend at the base of the splines in the smooth section right before it goes up the Tube. I bent my brand new one on a highpinion front diff at the Hammers on the second day of running it. :booo:

Just called allpro, they had them, plus they're on sale, got some u-joints too! I don't think i'll have too much issue busting them, knocks on wood, but i guess i'd rather have the driveline break than a R&P or something else...:eeek:
