Alternate Fuel???

Hey anyone done lpg or cng on a 4L yet? How does it work with the efi?

http://www.Gotpropane.com has a kit for it.

I've seen lots of propane on V8's but not a 4.0 yet.

It eliminates EFI, harness, computer, etc and you need a distributor from an older engine.

Yeah, I jsut read to (at least on the web page I looked at) that it can't be done on any vehicle with emmisions control crap. I am guessing maybe propane messes with the catalytic converter? Not sure.

no propane messes with the epa and the gas tax. it has nothin to do with the vehicle.:booo:
you can put a system on for propane and retain the efi also. a local guy that sells propane conversions has a propane system on his 97 bigblock vortech chev truck=dual fuel. he says he gets the best price by having a 250 gallon tank at home and buying in bulk and filling up at home. I dont know if hes still in business or not. he still sells trailors at the lot, but last time I talked to him he was selling all inventory on propane cuz his supplier raised his prices way high. if he has it it will be cheap, blow out deal.:beer:

always wanted to run my 22re on pane... just to get rid of all the old sensors and whatnot. 1000 bucks to simplify the motor is a bit steep though.

he was in graham, right next to the fair grounds/frontier park. he sold trailers too. it looks like there is more trailers now, dont know if its the same guy or not? If I remember (yeah right!) next time I go that way Ill stop and ask whats up?:beer:

I found a guy with used tanks (some still partly filled) for sale (with delivery on the partial tanks) I need a couple 1000 gallon tanks for heating and road vehicles.
