alternator help

I have a tbi motor in my Jeep I bought the injection harness from painless. The plug that goes in the back of the voltage regulator has 3 wires how can I jump this out to excite the alternator to charge. The 3 wires are red black and grey. If this won't work can someone give me the part number to a one wire alt for a surpentine setup for a small block chevy.

I just installed this one on a TBI 350. I shorted the 2-pin plug....

nations alt just google them they hook me up with all of mine and they work great

Wire from battery goes to post on back of alt. then loop a wire from one of the terminals back to that post. You will have to try both to see which one excites the alternator charging. The other terminal can be used with a dash light to let you know your not charging anymore/belt broke. I think terminal 2 is the one used to excite the alternator.
