Hired Gun Offroad is proud to offer the new Nitro Big Pinion conversion kit for the Dana 44 to Hardline Crawlers[size=10pt][size=10pt][/size][/size] members. The Nitro Big Pinion conversion kit for the Dana 44 offers a significant increase in strength for your traditional type Dana 44 axle by allowing for the fitment of the "New Generation" type gears that are used in late model Jeep Wrangler JK rear axles.

Fits most "Traditional" type standard "low pinion" Dana 44's

The Nitro Big Pinion conversion kit for the Dana 44 offers several size and strength improvements over the standard setup such as a larger "Dana 60" sized 24 spline pinion shaft that measures 1.25" vs. the standard 1.11" 26 spline shaft.

Another improvement is the larger 8.875" diameter ring gear compared to the standard 8.5" ring gear.

Nitro Ring & Pinions are industry leaders and only use the best materials available for the construction of their products. These materials coupled with Nitro's cutting edge machining, heat treating and lapping processes will ensure that customers get a strong, quiet running, long lasting setup. These gears are manufactured from 8620 steel gear forgings and are Rockwell tested for hardness. They are heat treated and given extra lapping which results in an ideal contact pattern and smoother, quieter operation.

The Nitro "Big Pinion Kit" Includes:
- Ring & Pinion - larger and stronger than the standard ring & pinions
- PK conversion kit (Pinion Bearings, Seal, Nut, solid spacer, shims, bearing spacer, R/G Bolts)
- Pinion yoke in 1310 or 1350 series
