Can't put gas in my fawking car soemtimes. Just stopped to get gas while gas light is on, meaning I really need fawking gas. Took me 5 minutes to pump $3 worth of gas into it. It spits it back out after running about $0.30 or so in it, like it can't breathe. It does this intermittently, and i can't trace a pattern of cause. Most times I can hold the nozzle wide open without problems on the whole fillup, but sometimes like today, I just had to put $3 in it, and leave bc I was in a hurry to get somewhere.

Wtf is going on?? Looks like it would do it all the time if there was a venting issue.

have you tried pulling the nozzle out a bit so it can vent at the filler neck?

My 4runner won't hardly take gas if you shove the nozzle down in there, pull it back about an inch and it'll go in fine

Vent valve (or is it purge) I can't remember, We used to see it all the time!!!! Pretty sure it's the vent. It's keeps the tank pressurized and the air has no where to go, so it can't take any more fuel

Re:

Check the vent on the charcoal cannister. Bugs can stop it up or you have refuelling valve bad.

Where is said cannister?

Yes tried holding the fuel nozzle all whichaways, barely in to where it has plenty room to breathe and it still bubbles back up, **** pisses me off.

Yes if the vent is sticking it will pressurize the tank BUT the pcm would see the ftp staying high and kick the mil on. I had an older Tahoe the other day doing the same thing and the smaller vent hose between the tank and filler had come apart internally and stopped the orvr valve up. The old school hoses don't like the ethanol gas. Unless your are getting some evap codes I would say it's filler or tank related

No codes, and it usually dont do it but maybe once every few months
The vent sticking would have to do it 2 times to throw a light. Since its random I would start there. If you unplug it your light will come on but it won't drive any different. The valve stays open and the pcm grounds it to close it. Unplug it and rock out a few weeks and see if that fixes it. Google canister vent solenoid

A farting guess, it is up under the rear suspension. Starting to sound like it's not that. Newer cars have a spring loaded valve in the gas tank, right at the filler neck connection. It could be sticking.
