Re:The vent sticking would have to do it 2 times to throw a light. Since its random I would start there. If you unplug it your light will come on but it won't drive any different. The valve stays open and the pcm grounds it to close it. Unplug it and rock out a few weeks and see if that fixes it. Google canister vent solenoid
