thats a nice ass truck....
I am looking for something right now as well. I cant spend that much money though. got any local hookups for 98-01 strokes/cummins(manual for cummins, dodge autos suck balls)? 10-12K is pretty much my limit, I maybe able to go a little more though, depending on the ride....

ha, like mine?
to get a cummins for 12K you are going to get a standard cab piece of **** with no options, or get one with 200K on the ticker.
mine is an '00 cummins 5 speed 4x4, dually, alcoas, grey leather/heated/power, power everything else, heated mirrors, loaded as balls, quad cab, fleetside bed, white, goose hookup, new front brakes, ranchhand rear bumper, sport package (blended front bumper and grille, all white nose) etc. I put an edge comp, new injection pump, new tranny, new 5" all the way back with a muffler (don't like the gay ass straight pipe sound), FASS fuel system, pyro/fuel press/boost press gauges on A pillar, etc.
the problem with mine is that it was totaled at 150K and rebuilt. I got it at 188K and have driven it everywhere since '04. it has been to north carolina and several other places. runs like a MF'er. came back through the appalacians weighing 21K and it had no problem.
I need $11K FIRM out of it. trucks like it are going for 13K with similar miles and options. the salvage title drags it down. I have fixed any little nit picky **** on it that was bothering it from the total.
the thing to keep in mind if you're in the market for a 98-01 is that you will put an injection pump out of it. the lift pumps go out and take the injection pump out with it. if you watch your fuel pressure and run additive you can keep from taking it out, but most don't. I wasn't watching it and took my injection pump out, so did heath in his '02. the way to fix is for good is to ditch the gay ass lift pump that dodge put ont he side of the block and go to a FASS or to dodge's new updated lift pump in the tank. the fass has 2 spin on filters that are easy to service, a water separator and an air separator (Fuel Air Separator System). the spin on filter is off a semi and made by fleetgaurd. it always gives 14psi instead of the stock one that goes from 16 at idle to 5 at WOT brand new. and they go down from there. on the fass, the returns back at the tank, so it is always at 14. cheap security for $700. I bought the updated 027 injection pump. there have been 27 updated to the vp44 injection pump and I got the most current. another $1500 after a bunch of searching and installing myself. that was at 194K miles. I have 208 on it now, I think.
