Hey I was at the Enumclaw Swap Meet, and I saw a vender selling winch rope. I have always ran a cable and have had good luck with it. I was intrigued with the rope though.

Can anybody talk me into a rope or out of a rope?

Who has a rope and is it all that it is cracked up to be?

Thanks in advance.

Mike

i HAVE been running rope for like 4 years now and I will NEVER EVER go back. Its safer than cable in both won't cut your hands and has no stored energy to snap back and hurt anybody. if it ever breaks it can be woven back together.

only downfall--it doesn't like heat...

along with what the rest have said...it's a shitload lighter than steel cable as well
Ease of handling. :flipoff: Is there an echo in here? :kissmyass:

I think i lost like 30lbs off my rig loosing the steel haus and cable

WOW all pros no cons. Seems like the way to go. Thanks for the advice any suggestions for the best and where to get it.

Ive ran Winchline for awhile now and would never go back.

The only reason I would keep cable on your winch is if your using your winch for things other than wheeling. ie pulling stumps or brush. Things of this nature can be hard on a synthetic line. It doesnt like being drug across stuff.
