So it seems like I've been reading guys who go to long arm setups and add in the Antirock offroad swaybar. Is this a necessity w/a longarm setup or just a good idea if I plan to street the rig?

I suggest driving a similar rig that has it first. It really increases off-road stability and it forces your axle down when articulating. I've driven a rig with it, but for myself, I can't justify buying it.

Unless you have excessive body roll on the street I wouldn't bother.
