the Vertical Smile chassis? I was reading up on them on RCC and was curious as to whether or not they are a laydown type, or not, and if they would work better than the SW2, they look to be a far better design then the SW2 (to a newb that is)

I don't know from experience about the vertical smile one, but the SW2 just plain rocks!! You can't go wrong with the SW2, it's a great chassis.:D

i've been waiting for double J to get me my vertical smile chassis along with some custom axles for almost two months now.

if you were to get a chassis i'd guess it would be a lot quicker.

when i get it i'll let you know what i think though :)

SW2 is the industry standard. Highly adjustable, can be set for almost any configuration, multiple choices for link and shock mounts, etc. I'm sure the 'Smile is a great chassis, but I don't think it has proven itself like the SW2 has, at least not yet.

Isn't Double J local? Least he could do is bring his rig to one of our comps and show us what it's got.

from what I saw hes in Kennewick, or kinda near there? I dont know, I just kinda want to do something that not everybody has done ya know?

well now the VS is going for 45 ish, that sounds reasonable, what I dont know, is how wide I need? and after looking at the new pics that he posted, how do you mount the trans? and motor combo? looked like he put more holes in it then the prior configuration, does that make a big difference? I know, I know all newb questions that could be solved by searching on RCC, but I dont know what to search for
