anything bad about Dodge 6-speed?

I've read about the problems with the nv4500: mainshaft, 5th gear nut.
waht about the nv5600? Does it have the same problems or any others? This would be in an '02 HO.

some guys have had more probs with the 6 speed than the 5 speed, go to www.nwbombers.com and do a search theres ALOT of info over there

I bought mine with high mileage...it has 249k on it now and work just fine.

Like mentioned previoulsy some guys on the Diesel boards have gone through quite a few...but then again they may be running to much power/torque and towing heavy too.

yep mine has 150k and shifts like butter

I know of 4 people who have blown up 6 speeds.. One tows 26k+ on a REGULAR basis.. Another one just beats the living piss out of his truck (you should hear him shift going down the track. There aint no clutch pushed in when it goes into gear :redneck: ). The other does a lot of truck pulls. And the last one races his all the time. And the latter 3 are over 500 and 600 rwhp while doing so.

The average guy shouldn't have any problems beating the crap out of his 6 speed.
