So I am installing my ARB and reading the directions it says that the air should be between 85 to 105 and if you don't drive it with an ARB compressor the warrantee is void. I have a Viair compressor on my truck but it runs 120 to 150 PSI
So I guess the question is how do you supply air to your ARB or what do you suggest for me

Option 1
Get a pressure regulator and just drop the pressure to 105 in the system that I have now
Option 2
Buy an ARB compressor
Option 3
?

I run a york OBA system for mine charlie. I just got an ARB control switch and use that to control the pressure---super simple. But I have heard guys running higher pressure with no problems plus you know a guy who can fix them for cheap too :redneck:

I have heard of people running higher pressure also just wondering. So direct plumb it to the tank

In addition to the ARB pressure switch, I also put a pressure relief valve on the tank. Kind of a belt and suspenders approach. I have heard of guys blowing the seals when running too high of pressure.

You can get a pressure relief valve for a very few bucks.

I do have a pressure relief valve on the tank

Everything I have read says that I need to drop the pressure

You can also go with a dual pressure sensor setup Charlie. One for arb use that also controls the feed voltage to the arb control switch's. Pretty simple and would be fool proof...

i am running york OBA and also just used the ARB switch to turn the comp on and off as needed. i dont even have a tank yet. my buddy from ARB said 120 wont hurt it any just dont advertise if you ever have any issues.:redneck:

I've had my ViAir shutting off at 120psi and ran my ARBs off of it like that for over five years now with no problems. If you want it lower just buy a different pressure switch like these guys said. You can pick up them up for less than $20. Make sure to run the with the sensor down (wires facing up) or rust tends to collect in them and takes out the switch. I've used ones from here before. http://www.airbagit.com/v/vspfiles/pages/PressureSwitch_PAGE.htm

I've been using an ARB pump for the past few years and am not too happy with it. Recently I haven't been able to keep my front locked in... Rockin' 3 wheel drive is pissing me off.. I see a teardown in my near future...

Why not just run a little in-line regulator between your air supply system and your ARB system to keep it at 100psi? Keep your tank and compressor pressure high so it's not cycling every time you hit the switch, but step it down for the ARBs.

Something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Inline-Air-Re...f=sr_1_10?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1311353166&sr=1-10

Or with a locking adjuster cap: http://www.amazon.com/Vaper-19303-Locking-Pressure-Regulator/dp/B000OEH8GQ/ref=pd_cp_hi_1

This is what I am thinking. I picked up a PR today and can plumb it in to the tank that I have now. The only thing that I thought of was a little 1/4 gal tank for just after the reg for just the ARBs to stop any serges from the reg as it turns on and off

FYI
I've run ARB's front and rear for 6 years and I regulated the pressure to 60 lbs. and it's worked great. My thought was less pressure= less chance of blowing seals.
