I've ran both. ..my 44 tsls were softer and prolly better for all around crawling. That being said I run the 47s at the moment ...with my long wheel base the height helps me out. I do find I run at lower pressures than my 44s to get the tire to flex...and now that they are about 60% tread they work better. New they are stiff and would def recommend grooving them.
