• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

Are we still a club?

I think we should start a rebuilding process in March. Matt is a huge part of this club and he has had his mind on the Hammers. Also, the economy has hurt manys ability to travel. I think we should look at three rides at the March meting. Greg and I talked about it this weekend. One at Morris Mountain as almost all of us are members. One at Mountainside. And one road trip. Plan em, do em. Get back on course.

Ha, funny question but very true. I think it takes members and participation, and we have not had much of either. I really think we need more local members, the distant members are fine but they just cannot make it to much. I think the club worked well when it started because we were all fired up about it, new members will help us get there. Also the club was about trail riding and having fun with each other. I hate to say it but the local wheelin scene has really turned me off lately. I think it has become mostly about $$, publicity, your chassis builder, who can be the baddest, etc. It would be refreshing if we could be a close knit group that just enjoyed wheelin with the club. The Tellico Ride is what the club should aspire to be IMO.

I have no rig >:( But I love this club and enjoy every time we are together. Its to good of a thing to let go !

I know that I am one of the distant members, but we all knew that going in. I agree with Matt, the telico trails was my first out of state trip with a tight group of friends. We all had the same attitude about trail repairs and rescues which made wheeling a blast. When we all went to iron gap to ride and I broke an axle first thing, you guys did exactly what we would have done. You helped get me to a safe place to work on my rig, made sure I had the tools and parts needed then yall went and played near by while I got my rig back together. That is the type of wheeling I enjoy. Dont get me wrong, I could watch the big guys fly through the air all day long, but being a spectator for the day is the same as being a cheer leader. I would rather be a part of the sport not watch it.

If you guy's want to go back to being locals only, I would understand and hope to be considered for invites to the members only rides as I have come to enjoy the group of people in and around the Hardline club.
