This is not much of a write up but I decided to put an Atlas 3.8 in my buggy. We (Pat and I) pulled it down Thursday night and did some test fitting. I only had to cut out one structural tube. I cut it out and the Atlas slid right in. I had Joseph cut and notch a piece of tube Saturday morning. Pat came back over Saturday night and we mounted the case and welded in the tube. We got back out there today and buttoned everything up and also did some other maintenance items that needed to be done.

David were you able to reuse your customized shifters? Install looks good, I think that will be a great mod for you long term! Hopefully no more broken outputs

No I used the stock Atlas shifters. I think I am going to like them better. They come up in front of my seat and I can run the tc and the tranny at the same time now.

With fuel prices the way they are, I wish I could.

Looks like we will be going to Hot Springs instead. One of our guys has to work in North Louisiana Friday night. So we are just going to go to HS because its only 3 hours for him versus 7 if we go to MM.

Cool, Carl and I are headed up on Friday morning. When will you get there? Time to get that billygoat buggy of yours on some of my favorite trails at Hot Springs!!!!

Too Easy, Quicksand and Impossible are calling our name!!!!!!!

Glad it worked out on the Atlas swap. That is a bitchen buggy........

I thought you were going the next weekend.? I hate those trails. They arent good for anything but tearing up tires.

Sucks you are not making MMORV David, I was looking fwd to running with you guys. Yeah those trails at Hot Springs suck ass, unless you want to ruin a set of new tires.

Yeah, I stay off of those straight up loose trails. I ran them when I first got my buggy and hated them. The buggy worked great on all of them but it killed my tires and I just dont like that kind of wheelin.

Just cause I did it does not mean I liked it. The rock garden and technical trails there are a blast, the vertical loose gravel climbs are not so fun and kill tires fast

Damn, that is right, it is the following weekend we are

Tires, smires. Some people pay for that...they call it SIPING. :eat:

The rest of the trails up there are fuggin bunny slopes for that buggy. I will get your ass back on them before the summer is out.
