My atlas keeps getting loose where it mounts to the adapter. I run a th400 transmission. I may have sealed the atlas wrong against the adapter. I put rtv around the inside and outside flange. Could the case be slipping on the rtv? I have to tighten it after each ride because there is play between the mated surfaces when shifting from drive to reverse. Also it is dang near impossible to get a wrench on the nuts due to the way the case and adapter mate up... Can I get busy with a die grinder to solve this? Probably an elementary question, but any thoughts-help would be appreciated

Thanks for the call Jeff. I figured it out. A litle rtv got between the mating surfaces of the atlas and the adapter and created a little slip. Easy fix lol.

Yes you can use a die grinder to trim out where you can get your wrench in there. Havent seen a t case stay tight without torque plates.
