Anybody ever removed a window lift motor (for automatic windows) on a ford ranger? its a super cab 4X4 if you need any more info let me know im stumped on how to get it out.

It's not uncommon to drill out the rivets that hold stuff in place on OEM power windows. Don't know SPECIFICALLY Ford Rangers, just a generality.

:redneck: BFH

is it all the way collapsed? or is it extended? will it get smaller? whats in your way?

some of those you can change the motor without pulling the regulator. (if you can get to the bolts)

If not you have to drill out the aluminum rivets and replace them with bolts when you put it together.

Use a drift to punch the center steel pin through and then just drill the heads off of the rivets.

Well, it requires a trip to the store.

Place the "for sale - cheap" ad in window

Buy toyota. :corn:

Mabye the window's stuck down? :stirpot: :haha:

it is acctually:mad:

And this window motor has been replaced once before by the past owner, so i can see where there isnt OEM parts i.e. rivets that look quite diffrent and i drilled that one out but it wont budge and i cant find anything else holding it in place
