Avatar pics

I'm trying to change mine and I clicked on upload, picked a picture off my phone and it appears next to the " upload picture" then when I click save at the bottom it doesn't appear and now I have no picture for an avatar, I tried a image code off photobucket ad well and that doesn't work, what am I missing?

I can not find the exact specs, maybe RickyB will chime in as he does the back side of the site. But I think the max width and height is 100 x 100 pixles. There is ALSO a size limit, I think it is 72kb. You will have to use a photo resize program like this one.

There is no that I know of to do it from your phone.

I had the same problem. Just keep trying different pics to see which one takes that's what I have done. But if you have one in particular you want keep trying at different times or resize it. It works for me and don't understand it but it always works for me. :dunno:

Have no idea why but on my phone sometimes, actually most of the time I have to email it to myself, and When i do it ask me about the size and I pick the smallest usually. **** is so frustrating for me somtimes. Wish I was good on computers and such. Try emailing it to yourself maybe it will give you the option to pick a different size.

I just emailed my picture to myself and choose the small option , then opened the email and saved to my pics, it loaded fine and that worked great thanks for the idea !

I have tried some off my phone before and it will say its too large of a file or over 1500kb.

One thing that worked was to screen shot the photo and try again. I guess it lowers the quality slightly and will then fit file size to post.

I use to upload pics directly from my phone, then I went out and upgraded my phone(new phone takes better pics) but in doing so uses more space. I have to email them to my computer now then upload them

I just really want to see a full size pic of your avatar!!! I uhhhh like jeeps, yeah rusty jeeps.......

I have an iPhone 5.....typically I resize all my pics on my phone before I try to post them. Select your pic on your phone, click edit then go to aspect. From there you can resize to scale it down to the "main" part of the pic ya wanna see. Save it then you can upload your resized pic.....most of the time. Hope this helps. :dblthumb:
