i was just thinking about if it would work if i put a shackel set up on the front of the rear's an did a link set up to make sure the axel don't go anywere???
any idea's or a place to read on how some one might have done this
would be really helpful.

thank's justin :eeek:

1) Shackle on the front of a rear leaf set up: I think your gonna' end up with unacceptable rear driveline slip yoke problems. Drivelines will pull apart or bottom out. Axle torque trying to collapse the shackle may cause some weird problems too.

2) Linkage (aka ladder bar) on leaf sprung axle to control axle wind up: Very common, most guys with any sort of horsepower do this. This set up has problems too though. When the suspension articulation is great as needed in a crawler, the ladder bar and leaf spring fight each other and you'll end up with bent leaf springs. Some convert to coil spring suspension for this reason.
