Barbie Jeep Race

Well I guess it's time to let the cat out of the bag. Remember last april's CRAWL mag issue? The april fools truck nutz write-up? Well for this year's issue CRAWL mag will be covering a barbie jeep race at MMORV. laughing What we will need is banners mostly, like the XRRA races. I couldn't get in touch with Creighton for maxxis banners so we'll have to go with something else. Maybe just some generic checkered banners. Any ideas? Also...when would you guys like to race? Saturday or Sunday? Remember it gets dark at like 4:30 so we'd have to do it early for photos.

I know this goes agaist everything Barbie Jeep racing is, but I need to organize it a bit for the mag. I was thinking race elimination style, pair up and run heat one, then heat two, etc until there are two racers left.

Is it legal to put in a bigger axle in the rear of my jeep? I was thinking of a small yard cart axle and maybe some better tires.

I think I can get some banners from my sponsers.Kellogg Construction Company and Keller Williams. I will let you know tomorrow if I can get some banners. Oh ya I think I have a real truck challenge banner or something similar. Again will let you know tomorrow.

Probably gonna need like 400' of banner to line both sides of the course. Are there any places around town I can get some? Surely they couldn't be too expensive...

I have a large Detroit Locker one... a ford one, a Maxxis... Ill see if any others.

Its awn. Ill have to get my rig all wired up. thats right... wired up. Its got a Sony CD playa BIOTCH and flashy go fast lights for the ladies pepper.gif

Talked to Keith and he's got some rancho ones he said I could borrow. I'll need to tape over them with masking tape most likely due to it being in the mag, but that's no biggie really. Hopefully there might be some checkered flag ones as well. All else fails we can do caution tape. ;D

Just so everyone knows me and Daniel will be bringing around 6-8 Barbie Jeeps, that we have collected. So if someone doesn't have one we have some extras.
