Im lookin for some info.

How wide are your beadlocks? What size tire, width and height.

If DIYs then how wide were they before you started (if it WAS a 15x8 it owuld be 15x9 when DONE)

really lookin to see what sizes folks are running and their thoughts on the performance.

Thanks In advance.:beer:

I have 3 sets of trailreadys and they all started out as 8" wide I think they become 9" wide after being made into beadlocks.
I have 12.5 & 13" wide tires on them. I think the narrower wheel helps keep the inner bead on. I don't think I have every lost a inner bead and I run my swampers at about 2 PSI in the snow.

I'll have to double check for you someday, but I found a scrap of notepaper here that I wrote my beadlocks are 8.5 wide. they are 15 inch steel wheels with Bobby Long beadlocks. Tires are 34 10.5 15 LTB's. I glued the inner bead. I usually stay around 3-4 lbs, but often they leak down to 2, or less. I have seen the tires fold so much the beadlocks almost dig into the dirt, or asphault, and never lost a bead.

I've had 3 sets of DIY's, first set was bobbies on a 10" and they were 38.5x14.5" sx's with a thick bead so they were really widened to about 11 1/2". The additional wheel width was great for the sidewalls to grip. LOVED them, ran them down till the gauge didn't read and they worked as planned.

Some cheapy pos's with 42x15's on them. Again started as 10's ended up about 11 1/2" pulled the cores no problem.

Current laser cut done by a buddy started with another 10" on 44x18.5's and they are nice. The wheel could use to be a bit wider but I like the current width vs putting a DIY on a 12" wheel, the tires are made for 10-12" wheels so they work great.

I used ballistic fab rings and it took my 15x8 and made it a 15x9 they work great the really suck the bead in and give me alot of sidewall bite. I run 35x14.50

I have two sets of DIYs. The first set was 12" wide wheel with 38x14.5 IIRC. Later put 42x (whatever)...Those wheels were just too wide. Second set I bought the narrowest wheel I could and that works out good...

what is "the narrowest"? I have a set of nice chrome 15x7-8ish but am afraid to go under 8 or 10.

My favorite tire is a 38.5x14.5 SX. Right now I run 38.5x16x15.

Ran a set of 38.5"SX on a 15x8 wheel that was DIY beadlocked with out any issue. Worked really well actually. Ran two sets of SX's bald on those wheels.

I'm fairly sure the last set I bought of 17" wheels were 7" wide. DIY adds about a inch to make them 8"....Those have crawlers on them but I don't think I would have any problem running 14.5 sx's on that width wheel..
Chrome isn't going to be pretty once you weld them up.:;

My first set were 15x10s and When running a 12.5 tire I would lose the inner bead when aired below 3-4. Next I bought some 17x9" Walker Evans beadlocks and they work flawless with 37x12.5 krawlers. I had recentered some H1s with good results with 38" sx's. I now have 17x9 trailreadys with 40s and they work well. I have had much better luck with the wheels in the 8-9" wide range:awesomework:
