bedix sliding brake caliper

I have never installed this style of brake caliper before and I am having a few problems. The new calipers go on fine its when I try to put on the caliper key and support spring there just isnt enough room. I removed the support spring and drove the key on but it required a big hammer and galled into the caliper but I did get it on now that brake drags. any advice thanks.:booo:

You probably have the key turned the wrong way and or the spring on the wrong side of the key.

As far as I can tell theres only one way to put the key on and Im not using the spring.

Did you match up the old calipers ot the new ones to make sure they're slightly bigger?

the axle didnt come with calipers I got them from scmucks they are rebuilt calipers.
