So I am looking to upgrade my front end. I have not broke the stock LP. Heavy Dana 60. I have spicer ujoints. I was just going to buy drive flanges. But wanted to upgrade to 35 spline. So I have to get new stub shafts..... You know how it goes. So my question is stop with flanges or get all new axles or axles and new ujoints? Like I said have not broke stock but stepped up to 42's and getting a little braver (dumber) on my driving habits. Anyone running a middle of the road set up that's holding up? Ive only got about 4 grand in my whole project. Thank you. God bless.

Yukon chromo inners and outers with their super joints would be a good setup for you.

Yeah that's what Keith at ofc suggested. Kind of towards the high end of my budget. I would hate to blow my wad on just the front end. But then again do it once do it right.

I have had good luck with my Yukons and non-greasable spicer joints. I have broke a bunch of 35 spline warn premium hubs and 1 stub shaft (after I switched to flanges).
That being said, I would like to put some Yukon or Longfield joints in. If it is somewhat in your budget, get the joints too.

Thanks for the opinions. I think I'm gonna go Yukon shafts and flanges and wait on joints. In a stock setup what normally fails first? Stub or long shaft?

I'd run Yukon and Super joints with the Yukon hardcore hubs or flanges.
Thanks,

The Chromo (YA W series) are lifetime warranty - BUT you're only given ONE for sure replacement and then they get to choose whether they warranty future breakage.

Direct from Yukon's site:
"Limited Lifetime warranty covering manufacturing defects and axle breakage for as long as you own the vehicle. This warranty is not transferable to another party. "No Questions Asked" replacement for first warranty return, however, Yukon reserves the right to either replace axle or refund original purchase price after the first warranty claim. Yukon (through Randy's Ring & Pinion) makes final determination on warranty considerations."

If you want the best of the best - RCV is the way to go.
